Residential
care is available on the Carmi
campus for children ages 6-18 who have been
victimized by abuse, neglect, or abandonment, or who are experiencing
emotional or behavioral difficulties. Children live in cottages,
divided by age and gender. Houseparents live with each group of
6-8 children. Individual and group therapy assist children as they
learn to identify their problems and deal with them in constructive
ways. Adventure-based counseling is also provided by a full time
activities therapist.
All
children attend a local public school and are encouraged to participate
in community activities. Special care is given to the educational,
spiritual, and emotional growth of each child. |
