2012 Spring Turkey "Hunt-Raiser"
(Note: BCHFS encourages hunters to apply before Feb.9 to secure your permit.)

Baptist Children's Home & Family Services and Corn Crib Outfitters are teaming up to help orphans in Uganda, Africa. CCO is generously giving away 4 turkey hunts to BCHFS. For only $300, each hunter will enjoy a 3-day, semi-guided turkey hunt at Corn Crib Outfitters in Galesburg, Illinois. 100% of the proceeds will be given to the BCHFS Latreia International program which ministers to the Bukaleba Babies' Home in Uganda, Africa.

Hunting Information:

• 3 days of hunting on over 3,000 private acres of farmland with CCO.
• Semi-guided hunting means each hunter will be given a tour of the CCO farms, aerial photos, and knowledge of where to start hunting for turkeys.
  The novice hunter can request a guide to accompany them for no additional charge.
• Each hunter is provided with comfortable lodging during his stay.

• Complimentary breakfast will be provided by BCHFS, however lunch and dinner is not included. The lodge contains a full kitchen for hunters to use as desired and the city of Galesburg has plenty of restaurants to choose from within a few miles drive of the lodge.

Things to Know:

• Turkey Permits: BCHFS encourages hunters to apply before Feb. 9 to secure your permit.
  After this date the odds of drawing a turkey permit drop considerably. Therefore, all interested hunters need to apply before this date. Applying for a permit is easy and can be done online. • Possible seasons/dates for hunters:
  • 1st Season – Monday, April 16 – Friday, April 20
  • 2nd Season – N/A
  • 3rd Season – Friday, April 27 – Wednesday, May 2
  • 4th Season – Thursday, May 3 – Wednesday, May 9
  • 5th Season – Thursday, May 10 – Thursday, May 17
    • *Hunters should contact Jay before applying for a permit.
    • *2nd season is not available for hunting.
      
• License and permits:
  • Resident hunting license: $12.50
  • Resident Turkey permit: $15.00
  • Non-resident 5-day hunting license: $35.75
  • Non-resident turkey permit: $125.00
• Bag limits: 1 tom or 1 hen with visible beard per hunter, per season.
